consultation

Once you request a consultation, we'll schedule a 15-minute phone call at a time that works best for you. Together we'll discuss your project and vision to ensure that we're a good fit for your needs. After our call, we'll follow up with a Client Guide outlining our process details and costs.

proposal

Once you're ready to work with us, we'll have you fill out a discovery questionnaire and share your inspiration images so that we can craft and send you a proposal for your scope of work.

concepts and ordering

In this phase, we will present you with floor layouts and initial design ideas. Once you approve the layout, we will get started sourcing products.

installation and styling

Our favorite day! You'll watch all the hard work come together and we'll welcome you to your new home.

What kinds of projects does Bogart Interiors take on?

Bogart Interiors is a Boston-area residential design studio led by Katie Bogart. We specialize in full-service interior design for renovations and new construction, and we also take on furnishing projects, from a single room to a whole home. Our work includes space planning, furniture and textile selection, window treatments, wall coverings, lighting, and art curation. For smaller needs, we offer one-time design consultations.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in MetroWest Boston and design homes throughout New England. We also design vacation and second homes on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket, and along the coasts of Maine and New Hampshire. For the right project, we're happy to travel beyond New England.

Can you work with our existing architect and builder?

Absolutely. Bogart Interiors regularly collaborates with architects, builders, and contractors and is happy to join your project team at any stage. We work closely with your architect and builder to ensure a cohesive approach to space planning, finishes, lighting, custom millwork, and architectural details.

If you haven’t yet selected a contractor, Bogart Interiors frequently collaborates with The Bogart Finish, a custom building and renovation company founded by Mike Bogart, husband of Bogart Interiors founder Katie Bogart. Their unique working relationship brings an added level of communication, collaboration, and attention to detail, helping projects move smoothly from initial concept through completion.

How long does an interior design project take?

Every project is unique, but full service design projects generally span 12-24 months from initial design through construction. Furnishings projects can take anywhere from 4-9 months or more depending on the level of customization.

How do consultations differ from full service design?

A consultation is a one-time session for focused design advice. It’s ideal if you’re tackling a single room, choosing finishes or paint colors, rethinking a layout, or want a second opinion before a renovation. You’ll leave with clear recommendations you can carry out on your own or with your contractor.

Full-service design is a complete partnership from start to finish. Bogart Interiors manages every part of the design process: concept and space planning, finishes and specifications, furniture sourcing and procurement, coordination with your architect and builder, and final installation. It’s the best fit for renovations, new construction, whole-home furnishing, and second homes where you want the details handled for you.
